Good News for Every Woman

You are seen.
You are valued.
You are loved.
Do you believe that?

The Bible says that God loves you, more than you can imagine.

Not because He has to but because He wants to. Even though . . .

  • He knows your innermost thoughts.
  • He’s seen your failures.
  • He’s aware of your attitudes.

Would you like to know more about His love?

God’s Tender Care

God’s tender care for you isn’t based on how you perform, how you look, or how you compare. He sees you as a precious daughter, and He wants a relationship with you.

The LORD is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and great in faithful love.
The LORD is good to everyone. —The Bible 1

The story of His amazing, abundant love is called “the gospel”—which means “good news.” And it starts with recognizing how much you need Him.

Made for More

The first woman, Eve, stood next to her husband, Adam, the first man—in a perfect garden God made. The first couple was created by God to honor and represent Him. In many ways, they were like Him—set apart for something special. They were designed to have a wonderful relationship with Him and with each other forever.

Now, you carry forward this purpose, and the “image of God” is a part of who you are.

The Problem with Us

Adam and Eve fell into selfish temptation and, sadly, evil was introduced into our world. A whole cascade of consequences resulted, including sin, sorrow, and death.

Think about your own life for a minute. Are your choices and decisions guided by what would please or honor God? Or are they controlled by your own sense of what is good or bad, right or wrong? Do you follow God’s direction for your life, or are you setting your own direction, let by your own wisdom or what you think will ultimately please you?

Today, all of us face these things, and all of us (even the ones who seem good on the outside) still have corruption lurking within: selfishness, lies, hate, lust, greed, pride, anger, and shame. The Bible says “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”2

It’s worse than “nobody’s perfect” or “everyone makes mistakes.” Because He is holy, your sin separates you from God.

The Promise of Help

God loves you too much to leave you in a lost and hopeless condition.

Even though each person who sins deserves to be separated from Him and face the same death as Adam and Eve (yes, evil is that serious to God), His love made something wonderful happen. Or, at least, made it possible.

The Bible explains:

“The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”3

It is obvious that we can’t solve our problems, cleanse our own hearts, or pay the price of our own sins. We need forgiveness, we need a fresh start, we need salvation.

And that’s why God sent Jesus:

“For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”4

“God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”5

“For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”4

Here’s the Gospel Truth for You

Crosses

Jesus died for your sins.

He paid your price. He took your penalty.

Jesus rose again from the dead.

He can give you power to live a new, abundant, eternal life.

Because of Jesus You Can Experience:

Freedom

Imagine not being bound to your past! You can find cleansing, forgiveness, and a joyful new identity in Jesus.

The Bible tells us that anyone who is in Christ becomes “a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!”6

Fullness

Your soul was created for fellowship with God. In Jesus, you can enjoy a family relationship with God and with all who follow Him!

You can discover, “the truth is in Jesus, [and] to take off your former way of life, the old self that is corrupted by deceitful desires, to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, the one created according to God’s likeness in righteousness and purity of the truth.”7

Fruitfulness

Your life can be defined by purpose: loving God, even honoring Him as you let Him lead your life forward from here. “And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”8

Forever

Your new life can start today, and it can last on into eternity! The Bible looks ahead with this prophecy of heaven: “The Lamb [Jesus] who is at the center of the throne will shepherd them; he will guide them to springs of the waters of life, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”9

Ready to Begin a New and Everlasting Life with Jesus?

When He started announcing the gospel, the Lord said:

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near.
Repent and believe the good news!”10

In other words,

Turn to God and Trust in God

That invitation now comes to you.

Turn

From your sins
From your own way
From your old paths

Trust Him

With your soul
With your story
With your salvation

Of course, there is SO MUCH MORE to learn about Him—about what He taught, about how He lived, and why He had to die, and how He rose from the dead. The Bible is full of exciting things to discover all about Him.

But every journey begins with a first step, and many people start following Jesus with a moment of prayer. You could too.

You can talk to God right now; to the One who already sees you, who already values you, who already loves you.

Sample Prayer

Dear God, thank You for this good news. Thank You for loving me! I’m amazed that Jesus died to make me pure, and I’m so glad He defeated death and rose again to save me. I know I have a lot to learn about all of this. Today, I want to start trusting You instead of trusting in myself. I want to experience the life of freedom, fullness, and fruitfulness that Jesus talked about.

In His name I pray. Amen.
